MEET HOYT
Hoyt Prindle is a Tampa attorney, community leader, and problem-solver who believes local government should work for the people it serves.
An attorney in a Tampa-based law firm, Hoyt has built his career helping clients navigate complex legal challenges and finding practical solutions to real-world problems. His work spans business disputes, employment issues, and professional liability, giving him a deep understanding of how decisions made in boardrooms and government offices impact everyday people.
Before becoming an attorney, Hoyt worked in economic development and finance, serving as an assistant vice president at one of the nation’s largest certified development companies administering SBA 504 loans. In that role, he worked at the intersection of business growth and public policy, helping expand access to capital and supporting local job creation.
Hoyt has long been committed to public service and civic engagement. He currently serves on Tampa’s Citizens Advisory Budget and Finance Committee, where he was appointed to help review city spending and ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly. He has also served on regional transportation advisory boards, working on long-term planning to improve mobility and infrastructure across the Tampa Bay area.
His commitment to service began early, including work with the Veterans Law Institute at Stetson University College of Law, where he helped advocate for those who have served our country.
Hoyt earned his law degree, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, along with an MBA from the University of Tampa and a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. His professional achievements have earned him recognition as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers and “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America.
Hoyt lives in Tampa with his wife, Tiffany, and is proud to call this community home. Together, they are committed to building a stronger, more accountable, and more responsive city for the next generation.
